In an interview with BBC Urdu, drama actor Abu Rohan spoke about how he entered the industry.
He said a TV channel invited him 35 years ago as a jeweler for a morning show. His on-camera confidence impressed drama makers and that’s how he started acting.
He has performed Nikah scenes in nearly 80 to 85 dramas and also worked in Bahrain for 8 years.
He added that while it’s usually a simple role, sometimes it needs real acting, especially in fight scenes.
Fans often ask him to perform Nikah in real life, but he says no because “Nikah is about religion.” He only prays for the couple after the shoot.
