70’s Famous Actress Nelofar Abbasi’s Current Look Surprises Fans

Neelofar Abbasi is a veteran PTV actress known for nearly 50 classic and hit television series. She has played both leading and supporting roles. Her notable dramas include Shahzori, Eid Ka Jora, Happy Eid Mubarak, Khumaar, Zeher Alood, Baray Baray Dahi Baray, Aroosa, Sona Chandi, Naya Raasta and others. She was well known for playing an important character in Aroosa. She was last seen in Mehreen Jabbar’s Jackson Heights, which aired in 2014.

Neelofar Abbasi was born in Karachi to a literary family; her father, Aleemuddin, was a journalist and her mother, Noon, was a radio artist.
She inherited her passion for writing and arts from her parents and her uncle, the famous scholar Dr. Aslam Farrukhi. In 1975, she married the renowned writer and producer Qamar Ali Abbasi in a high-profile wedding attended by Nusrat Bhutto.
The couple shared a deep personal and professional bond until Qamar’s passing in 2013, after which she moved to the United States. She is a proud mother to three children: a son named Wajahat and two daughters named Maria and Sobia. Neelofar often reflects on her family’s support in her autobiography, Kahi Unkahi, highlighting their role in her iconic acting career.
