Faakhir Mehmood is a Pakistani singer, keyboardist, composer and music producer. He started out his career with the Pakistani musical group Awaz in 1992. Awaz disbanded in 2000 and its members went on to pursue solo careers. The band also consisted of well known musician Haroon.Faakhir Mehmood is married to Mehreen Faakhir, a fashion designer, and the couple tied the knot in 2000. They have two children together, a daughter named Simone and a son named Naael. In addition to their family life, they previously owned and operated a fashion retail store called New York Avenue, which was located in Forum Mall, Karachi.
