Talking about playing the role of a stepmother, Nazish Jahangir said, “I have a second mother in my real life. I have a stepmother. I have told this on other shows. It’s not necessary that all stepmothers are bad. These are stories made up by society. I have a stepmother. My father remarried after my mother’s death, and she takes care of the whole family well. She puts in effort, yes, she takes care of my father, so I can’t say stepmothers are bad. Yes, initially, it took me time to accept the relationship with her. She proved herself. She paved the way to my heart. The role I played was relatable as well. I used to call my aunty (stepmother) and used to tell her, ‘Now I feel what you have been through.’”
