During the interview, Sharmeen revealed that the decision to end her marriage was one she took entirely on her own — a step she described as painful yet necessary for her mental well-being. “Divorce was the hardest chapter of my life,” she admitted. “No one in my family supported me at that time, but I knew I had to take that step for my peace of mind.”
She went on to share that, despite appearing strong, the separation left her with deep emotional scars. “After the divorce, I developed a fear of abandonment,” she said. “Now, I struggle with losing people. I hold on so tightly that I end up losing my self-respect. I become a doormat in relationships because I’m afraid of being left alone.”
Sharmeen acknowledged that she is still learning to rebuild her confidence and self-worth. Fans praised her for speaking so openly about a topic often considered taboo, commending her courage and honesty.

During the show, she shared that she has five sisters, three of whom married Pakistani men living abroad. She added that her mother never focused solely on wealth when choosing sons-in-law, but rather prioritized education.
