Recently, Uzma Tahir appeared in a podcast named Notice, where she opened up about the hidden reality of media industry.Talking about it, Uzma Tahir said, “That category of actresses is different—those who want to get famous and rich at any cost and opt for a bold way. But when educated girls from the industry, with full understanding of the field, do it, then it becomes their own mistake. Why did I remain in second leads? Yes, we were number one in comedy, but in dramas, me, Beenish, Madiha Iftikhar, and Sherry—we were all in second or third leads. Why weren’t we cast as leads? I once asked a producer: I am educated, good-looking, confident, and can act—why can’t I be a lead? He meaningfully said, ‘You can also be.’ Those who accepted their offers were either eager for money or fame. We didn’t need that; that’s why I joined crime reporting.” Watch here:
Talking about it, Uzma Tahir said, “Danish Taimoor might be a great human for people, but I think he has now become egoistic. He has become arrogant with success, arrogant because somehow he forgot those whom he have worked with. You worked with me and know my situation, I grew up with you, I saw your highs and lows, but you act like a hero and show to others that you earn well and a bigwig. You didn’t even have an FX car when you started working in the industry, don’t forget you came on a bus. Look from where you started, we have worked together but you refused a podcast because you are now a big name of Pakistan. Now Sadaf Kanwal used to be with me all the time, but she now respects me a lot. See how long she has come, married and successful.” Watch here:
